For six years I called my parents from another country. I live in Canada. They live in India. On every call I tried to get them to eat better. First gently. Then more firmly. Then almost begging. They smiled. They nodded. Nothing changed. The same snack sat on the table that their parents ate, and their grandparents before them.

I felt frustrated. Then angry. Then something worse. I felt helpless. I was so far away. I couldn’t walk into their kitchen. I couldn’t put something better in their hand. Then one evening I had a different thought. What if it was never about changing them at all? What if the food already on their table could quietly start taking care of them? That is DipZing.
